Subject areas of specialty include psychology, creativity, personal development, literary fiction, poetry, music, and cultural criticism, but his writing experience is varied.

In his former life as a special education school administrator, he wrote hundreds of Individualized Education Program (IEP) documents for students with a range of learning difficulties. In each case, his goal was the same: to tell the story of a living, breathing human being with strengths, needs, and achievable aspirations.
